I thought the purpose of the link kit was so that one

the X11R5 source. But there's no driver source code, plus the
directory tree is a little messed up, the config driver scripts
   "seem" out of place.

I ran into this just last night. It seems that there's a
configrend.sh missing from the distribution. However, it all works. I
just relinked X386mono to remove all but the generic drivers and
reduced the executable's memory usage to 1.3 Mb (down from 1.5 Mb).

Unfortunately, without configrend.sh I can't get rid of the Type1 and
Speedo support from the server. Can someone send me a copy?
