Subject: [Summary] LML/Haskell for Linux
Date: 7 Apr 1993 23:54:52 GMT

I posted a query recently about the availability of LML/Haskell for
Linux. I had a few of responses which as promised are summarised below.

LML/Haskell is Lazy ML including the Haskell Functional Programming
Language. It was written by Lennart Augustsson at Chalmers University
in Sweden.

I had replies from pi@za.ac.sun.itu1 to say that there is a similar
programming language called NJ/SML available for Linux and two other
replies from d91a1bo@meryl.csd.uu.se and andre@dcs.glasgow.ac.uk to say
that it has been ported to Linux at Glasgow University and is available
from there. In fact the port was done by andre. It is available by anonymous
ftp from ftp.dcs.glasgow.ac.uk in the directory /pub/linux. The current
version is called lml-0.999.3-linux.tar.z and is compressed using gzip not
compress.

I know nothing of it whatsoever - I am trying to obtain it for some Computer
Science lecturers here so if anyone is interested in further information I
expect the best person to contact is: andre@dcs.glasgow.ac.uk for Linux
versions and hbc@cs.chalmers.se for general queries and other versions.

Thanks for the help.
