Subject: 99pl7A breaks my login on ttys0 - HELP
Date: Wed, 7 Apr 1993 15:31:19 GMT

I've finally tracked down the source of the majority of the problems with my
system (The /usr/include/linux was linked to /usr/src/lin...etc.. but the asm
dir wasn't... oops..) In any event, I've finally gotten the 99pl7A kernel to
compile and boot with no problems.. The only problem now is that either my
login or my getty has been broken.. uugetty seems to be fine.. I tried re-
compiling, but no luck.. I have a term hooked up to ttys0.. I get the
issue and the login prompt.. If I just hit enter, it reissues and reprompts.
As soon as I enter a username and hit enter, it never comes back for the
password.. I've checked the process list and it seems to be running /bin/login
.. Any help would be appreciated..

Thanks in advance, as always..
