Well I think that is bullsh*t! I haven't noticed any drop in performance since
I installed a ISA soundcard in my EISA computer. The computer checks for
ISA and EISA cards at bootup and treats EISA cards and sends data 32-bit at a
time to EISA cards and 16-bit to ISA cards.
Actually I didn't put the ISA card in a EISA slot, because I had 2 ISA
expansion slots free, but this shouldn't make a difference.
