Hi...

I'm currently running Taylor UUCP 1.04 under Linux 0.99pl7A
with two high speed modems, one a Practical Peripherals 14400 modem
and the other a Telebit Worldblazer. I also have an AST 4Port Board,
but the two high speed modems are on a card to themselves, with their
own Interrupts, and each of them have a 16550 UART on their port.

Today along, I've had 6 of them. One site was while talking
with the Worldblazer, in PEP mode. The other 5 were with the same
site, talking v32bis on the Practical Peripheral's modem.

Now, I was getting the same problems before, on the PP modem,
when I didn't have the 16550's on. My guess is that some is to be
expected, right? There are two sites that are more or less public, so
they wouldn't be just killing the line.

What I'm curious is whether this is something to do with the
serial drivers under Linux (in which case I shall just patiently wait
as they improve *smile*)...or is it something known about Taylor UUCP
(what? I don't know *sigh*)

Thanks for any suggestions...

marc
