Subject: -m486 performance increases ??

Hi.
I've been running the SLS version of Linux for some time now, but I know that
not much of the stuff there is compiled with the -m486 option. And being that
I have a 486, I'd like to be able to use all of what my machine can do. So I
was wondering what sorts of things would run better compiled with that option?
I don't really want to go recompile everything on my system if it's not
necessary.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
me
