Subject: MorningStar PPP on Linux? Other questions.
Date: 7 Apr 1993 03:02:08 GMT

Can anyone confirm whether Morningstar's PPP runs on Linux or not? I read
a "PPP FAQ" which said that it runs on BSD Unix for the '386, but didn't
mention Linux either way. Is the ka9q/wg7j package the only other
software-based SLIP/PPP for Linux?

Is anyone using Linux and software SLIP/PPP to connect to the Internet? If
so, could you give me some basic advice on how to go about setting up the
same? (Assume I have a stand-alone '386 running Linux, and want to set up
a SLIP/PPP full Internet connection through some service providor [Alternet
or PSI] using V.32 modems and a leased voice-grade line.)

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer. Regards, Scott Loban
