Well, I also gave it a try. I managed to generate the Makefiles
correctly. I defined a new machine typ for the andrew system
(linux_i386). Your problem could be that your definitions in
configs/<machine-typ>/system.mcr have a leading tab. That was only one
of my problems. The next problem is the class library (library which
loads objects on demand, or whatever), which requires some assembler
code. There is code for aix_i386 and sco_i386 provided, but I dont know
if that would fit for Linux. Well my 'make World' did not even make it
so far. It had some problems in another library (e.g. One file needed
SIOCGIFCONF defined). But that was not the only one.
As far as I heard should 'andrew' become part of the X11R6 Release.
Well, I hope they will clean up the libraries and make the beast more
portable.
