I don't wish to depress you, but this thread has started about six times
within the last year or so (both on the Linux & 386bsd news groups) and
has always died fairly soon after.
I think part of the problem is that all the technical-types who could
write the driver bought SCSI CDROM drives & all the non-technical-types
bought the soundblaster kit. (Just a personal opinion, in which I would
love to be proved wrong)

My project manager bought the SoundBlaster Multimedia Kit which came
with the Sound Blaster Pro card and CD ROM. He loaned the CD ROM to a
friend of his who owns an Adaptec 1542B SCSI card and was able to
install Windows NT beta off of it. This is what I heard so my
conclusion is that the CD Rom that came with the SoundBlaster Kit is
SCSI? What do you guys think? I believe that the CD rom has an extra
card for interfacing with the Sound Blaster Card. If you were to take
this card off, I think you would see a standard 50 pin SCSI. Does
this sound about right?
