Aren't dump and restore filesystem-specific? If so, you're in for trouble
because the filesystem they're presently coded for (BSD FFS) isn't supported
under Linux, and dumpa nd restore don't support the minix, linux aka minix-30,
extfs, ext2fs, xiafs, etc. filesystems.

What do you gain from those over GNU tar, anyway? (Before you answer
"incremental backups", try looking at the texinfo documentation for GNU tar.)
