Has anyone already configured an ATI VGA Wonder card to work with the
Linux SLS package with the X distribution? I installed the X distribution
but I am having problems getting X up and running. I would greatly
appreciate any comments, suggestions or hints concerning this matter.

Here is my present configuration:

        Zeos 486-33 w/8 MB RAM
ATI VGA Wonder w/512K - Bus Mouse
Mitsubishi Diamond Scan Monitor - Multisync
338 MB Micropolis ESDI Hard Disk

        Linux SLS Package 0.99
        XFree86 Version 1.2

A premilinary setup yielded the following:

Setting TCP SO_LINGER: Protocol not available
no SIOCGIFCONF
XFree86 Version 1.2 / X Window System
(protocol Version 11, revision 0, vendor release 5000)
Configured drivers:
  VGA256 (256 colour SVGA):
      et4000, et3000, pvga1, gvga, ati, tvga8900c, tvga9000
(using VT number 7)

Mouse: type: BusMouse, device: /dev/mouse
FontPath set to "/usr/lib/X11/fonts/Type1/,/usr/lib/X11/fonts/75dpi/,/usr/lib/X11/fonts/Speedo/,/usr/lib/X11/fonts/BitstreamType1/,/usr/lib/X11/fonts/misc/"
VGA256: et4000 (mem: 512k numclocks: 3)
VGA256: clocks: 25.0 28.0 36.0
VGA256: Mode "640x480": mode clock = 28.0, clock used = 28.0
VGA256: Mode "800x600": mode clock = 36.0, clock used = 36.0
VGA256: Virtual resolution set to 800x600
VGA256: SpeedUp code selection modified because virtualX != 1024
VGA256: SpeedUp mode selected (Flags=0xf)
cmdtool: command not found

exec: /u/openwin/bin/olwm: cannot execute: No such file or directory

waiting for X server to shut down shelltool: command not found

xinit: Interrupted system call (errno 4): Client error.

Again, please email me if you can help and I will re-post once I get
this situation resolved. Thanks in advance.
