Subject: serial bug with 4-port board
Date: Thu, 1 Apr 1993 05:07:30 GMT

I was just working on connecting a serial link between my Linux system
and my Esix system and discovered an initialization problem with the
serial driver. This is with SLS .99pl6 with AUTO-IRQ enabled.

If I boot with nothing connected to the serial ports, all four are
recognized. On the other hand, if I boot and port 4 (/dev/ttyS11) is
connected to the Esix system, the port isn't recognized. Not sure
what control line is causeing this problem but if this isn't enough
info to find the problem, e-mail me and I can play with a breakout box
and figure out exactly what is going on.
