Subject: BYTE asks, is UNIX dead?
Date: 29 Sep 1992 21:11:00 GMT
>>This months BYTE screams out asking "Is UNIX dead?".
> This bothered me a lot.
>> A closer scrutiny of the article proved it's just the otherwise.
> Interesting. I didn't buy Byte this month, partly
> because of the crap on
> the cover. As such, I wasn't aware of the contents of
> the article.
Most mags pup their advertizers products, and do not push shareware,
freeware, PD or other software that do not advertize in the mag.
Not even mentioning Linux in the article was the last straw for me, I
was thinking about droping my subscription, and that did it for me!
I no longer subscribe to BYTE, and do not reccomend it to others
anymore.
