Subject: What does "can't init core device" mean?
Date: 30 Sep 1992 16:39:27 GMT

Hi,

I've just installed X11v2.0, and got a

        Cannot initialize core devices.

error. I've checked that my /dev/mem and so forth are available.
I also scanned the binary, and it seems as if this error message is not
"close" do a string like /dev/mem, so I couldn't find out what
"core devices" it was trying to initialize.

Does anybody know what is going wrong?

(I'm running 0.97p6, Gcc2.2.2d, and just downloaded the jump4.1 libs)
