With all this talk about Dave Cutler, DEC, and "Windows NT"...

I read an artical where Dave Cutler told how WNT got its name...
NOT "Windows New Technology"...

It doesn't stand for anything...

Dave was part of the development of VMS for DEC...

WNT is VMS+1
ie... V+1 = W
             M+1 = N
             S+1 = T

VMS is of course DEC's "main" os for their DEC systems.

Dave said he was quite amused by all the acronyms that were assumed...
