Linux is getting the following it is because it's free. An awful lot of
people are writing, porting, and enhancing Linux because they believe
in what it is that Linux represents.

Yes, Linus is owed a debt of thanks for his efforts, and this post isn't
denying that. But don't forget the basic concept at play here, nor the
others whose work has helped to bring it along. Everyone who is involved,
including the many who're using Linux and reporting the results of their
experimentatons deserve thanks, and that thanks IS Linux.
