Hi there,
I'm trying to install the mcc-interim 0.97pl4 on a system with
adaptec 1542B connecting to a Wren IV, archive 150 tape and NEC CDrom
CDR-72. Also, there is a seagate st-251 MFM as boot device.
At boot up, it was able to detect the 1542, prompting:
scsi0: Adaptec 1542
Adaptec 1542scsi: 1 hosts
sd0 at scsi0, id0, lun0:
sd1 at scsi0, id2, lun0:
st0 at scsi0, id4, lun0:
scsi: detected 2 SCSI disks 1 tape total
70 00 06 00 00 00 00 02 10 29 00 00
aha1542_queuecommand: Two concurrent queuecommand?
sd1: unsupported sector size 0
scsi: deleting disk entry
Invalid or not present host number 39
kernel panic:
In swapper task -not syncing
then it died
i know it is due to the cdrom so when i removed the cdrom all was fine. However
it is very difficult to remove the drive every time i run linux. is there
any work around so that the kernel just skip pass the cdrom and boot up?
Thanks in advance.
Kai
