I dont think unix is dead. Why because something like windows nt. Which they
were comparing to unix cannot perform on 8088's and dumb terminals. To run
a unix all you need is a character based machine and a connection to a
server, whether via modem or high speed connection. You also can multitask
on these minimal systems too.
