Subject: How do I get SLS 5/*.taz.Z onto a floppy?
Date: 29 Sep 1992 02:56:40 GMT

I am installing Linux for the first time and have gotten through disk 4.
On disk 5 of the SLS distribution, there are files called something.taz.Z.
According to the FAQ and README, I am supposed to copy these to DOS formatted
floppies just like disks 3 and 4. How can I do this since DOS will not allow
me to write a file with more than one '.' in the filename?

When I uncompress the files, together they exceed the 1.2 Meg limit for
a floppy.

Thanks,
David Dumas
