Gee, this strikes me as odd coming from someone who appears to have
contributed a lot of time to Linux and has made a three year commitment
to provide sources. I guess I don't understand. Why did you go to
all that trouble? Just for shared libraries?

In spite of another message, I believe you are referring to 386BSD here.
Who was calling it names? The originator of this abhorrent thread
made a simple "my experience is" performance observation. Everything
since has been character assasination, not product assasination.

On what other hand? You just said the sole advantange of Linux was
destined to be short-lived. And isn't it true that your chosen niche
is ostensibly to invalidate the previous claim?

I see over-zealousness for Linux only apparent in a single poster's
remarks. This does not qualify as "people" or "amazing" to me. The
way one zealot acts cannot tarnish the project. By contrast, the way
a leader acts can.
