Howdy linuxers...
I have a serious problem: I cannot make a swap partition on my laboratory
PC system in a logical partition. Doing the same on my home box works
fine, but the lab machine complains "Will not make swap device on
`/dev/hda5'." I have even tried clearing the partition using dd
if=/dev/zero of=/dev/hda5 bs=1024 count=16379, but it is still the same.
What is wrong?
We tried to install 0.97pl2 on a scsi disk, primary partitions went well,
but logical partitions come back with errors during mk*.
Some idea ?
