Ok this message isn't crossposted all to hell...
I have all of the disks in the pub/linux/packages/SLS directory at
tsx-11.mit.edu. The first disk is in .Z format so I ftp'd the file to
my school's system and uncompressed the file then transfered the file
to my disk. At home I used rawrite to install the file '1' to my 'boot'
disk. Ok so far.
Using boot_b to start the boot disk everything goes fine the I get a
message like '7202EX:garbage ' and then the computer reboots.
Now I'm not sure where the problem occurs. I'm sure the file 1.Z trans-
fers OK and I'm pretty sure it uncompresses alright. But then the error
must occur either in transferring the file '1' to disk or rawriting the
boot image.
Any ideas. This is Linux version 0.96 I think. Can I get a boot disk
someplace else some other way?
Thank you!
Chris
