I have a large problem with my new SCSI disk!
When I try to boot Linux, I get the following messages when the kernel
is initializing the SCSI device:

I get this messages when I hard boot. But when I soft boot, I get the
following messages:
Partition tables ok.

I have a 386-25 (DFI?) with 387 and 8 Mb ram, with old AMI BIOS (1989).
The controller is an Adaptec 1542A, and the hard drive is a
SEAGATE WREN VI, 663 Mb.
I also have an 80 Mb IDE hard drive with an IDE controller.
I think they work along, since I have tried to disable the IDE
controller - with no different result. I booted DOS from a partition
on the IDE disk without problems, and DOS 'fdisk' found all the
partitions on the SCSI disk.
A friend of mine tried the SCSI disk and the controller, with great
success. He did not get any errors when he booted Linux. We made a
file system on my disk, and a floppy boot disk, and tried the same
configuration on my machine.
I use Linux 0.97.pl6.
Can somebody help me, please?!!!!
