Here is how to get rid of Linux once and for all... *sob*

Boot Linux. Go into fdisk and change the partition ID to one that DOS
understands. This should be 04 for < 32 Mb and 06 for > 32 Mb if I am not
mistaken (get the list in fdisk to verify).

Now boot MS-DOS 5.0. If you have OS/2, the OS/2 DOS box *will not do*.

Type: FDISK /MBR

This will remove Winiboot from you master boot record. Now check DIR C:,
DIR D: etc. until you get the message "non-DOS disk", or any similar. This
is the drive letter that DOS has assigned your former Linux partition. If
it hasn't, you need to use DOS' FDISK to erase it and create a new DOS
partition.

Utilmately, use DOS' FORMAT program to make a file system.
