Hi guys/gals,

I was successful in installing tcp/ip 0.8.1. There is only one problem:
If I telnet to my Linux machine (from a Sparc) I cannot ftp back to the
Sparc. From the Linux machine that works. Some ideas ?

Next, I d/l'ed tcp-utils from nic.funet.fi. talk responds with the message
ntalk/udp: service is not registered.
But I DID add the line to inetd.conf (maybe it was there already ? sure
it is now...).
If I do a finger user@machine, there after a minute or so comes out a
"unknown host: machine" message. If I give the IP number, finger works.
If I give the complete address, I also get "unknown host".
With rsh, same problems as with talk : shell/tcp: unknown service.

Surely I'm overlooking something (guess: most of all, yes I was a stupid
DOS user, but I promise everything to get help :). So can some kind soul
help me out ?

My config: no router (ftp nic.funet.fi is ok.), net x.x.x.0
resolv.conf: two nameservers (resolve nic.funet.fi, see above)
Card: wd8003 (ethercard plus elite)

Thanks to all.
