From: drmo@gnv.ifas.ufl.edu Subject: Can someone patch the kernel for me? Date: 17 Sep 1992 20:35:44 GMT
Hello all,
I have been trying, in vain, for the last week to get a Linux system
running on my machine at work. On my system at home, I have an
unsupported SCSI controller (Future Domain 880), but I have a patch
that will allow Linux to recognize it. My problem is that I need
to reinstall DOS on my machine at work. I wasn't able to get
the kernel recompiled, so now I can not run Linux on any machine.
Is there anybody who could, if I mailed them the patch (it requires
changing two files), recompile it and post it somewhere I could
access it? Or if there is another way, could someone let me know.
Thanks.
