I'm a bit worried about that monitor. Suppose you try to use it at
1280x1024. At 71 KHz horizontal sync, your refresh rate is something
like 71,000 / 1050 = 67 Hz. I think that's a bit marginal. I admit
that Sun uses 66 Hz on their low-end monitors, but on a $2500 monitor
I think you should be able to do at least 72 Hz, and preferably
something closer to 80 Hz. A monitor of this size and price should
have a somewhat higher horizontal sync range. If I got this monitor,
I'd probably run it at 1024x768. At that point you might as well get
a good 17 inch monitor and save loads of money.
