OK, so here I am.. have the bootimage on one floppy, rootimage
on the other. Stick the rootimage into the A drive.. hit ctrl-alt-del,
and wait..
"Loading....................................."
Then it says something to the effect of "hit return to select
a VGA mode, or any other key to continue"
If I hit return, I'm shown a menu of 8 video mode options, no matter
which one I select, the system reboots to the point of doing a memory
test. If I hit any other key to skip the video mode selection, the
same happens. So what'm i doing wrong? Did I forget to read something?
I'm running a 40Mhz. 386DX with 8megs of RAM, a Trident VGA card with
an 8900 chip and a meg on board. Any ideas??? ....HELP!!
