Subject: gcc, tcsh, recompile kernel
Date: Mon, 14 Sep 1992 16:23:47 GMT

hi again...

i think i managed to get gcc 2.2.2d installed, but i'm not really sure...

when i tried to compile tcsh, i got 9 errors that say:
tcsh.a(foo.o): undefined symbol _setjmp referenced from text segment

and then 1 that says that more undef'd _setjmps follow...

i wanted to recompile the kernel, from 0.97.1 to 0.97.5, but when
i get to compiling console.c into console.o, the system stops.
well, either it stops, or it takes about 4 hours to compile...

i've been typing ''make disk'', since i boot off drive a and have
root installed on a partition of the hard drive, /dev/hda1.

is there something obvoius i'm doing wrong? i'm not even sure how
to describe my setup, but i tried my best. any help is appreciated.

thanx.
