I seem to be having some trouble with programs I compiled for X. I
got a bunch of files from tsx-11.mit.edu, and linked the .a's, but
when I try to execute them, I get a core dump. At first I though it
was the .a files being bad, but the same thing happened when I compiled
xshowgif. I have seen some references that GCC 2.2.2d is incompatible
with the current version of X. Is this true, and if so is there an
expected date for versions that will be compatible with each other?
