"ONLY" 2hrs 40mins? WHAT? How much time do you want to thoroughly test
out a new version? Lazy bums (*)

Actually, the pl4 changes are small enough that I hope there are no new
bugs hiding in there, so pl4 should be as stable as pl3 - with the added
advantage of not having the truncate bug. And I haven't gotten any bad
reactions to pl3 yet. On the other hand, I guess most people haven't
had time to upgrade even that far...

Even the pl3 patches, while big, were pretty simple: mostly cleanups and
some relatively straightforward swapping changes. While bugs are always
possible, the pl3/4 changes aren't of the type that keeps me awake
nights wondering if they will work, and are likely to work without major
problems (famous last words...)

(*) No, I'm not serious. Lack of smilies doesn't /always/ mean I'm dead
serious. Although some problems (especially HD-driver-related) have in
fact been corrected with the help of beta-testers that were ready to
test out several new versions/day. Unsung heroes, and all that...
