Subject: Will ps0.97.2 work with 0.97.3 kernel -- mine won't!
Date: Mon, 7 Sep 1992 03:23:52 GMT

I just upgraded to the 0.97.3 kernel. I made my usual patches (setting
/dev/ttys2 -- COM3 in the DOS world -- to IRQ 5 and setting the number
of pseudo-ttys to 16) and had no problems compiling under GCC2.2.2d.
I am noticing an improvement in overall speed over 0.97.1 which is
what I used last.

But, when I recompiled ps0.97.2 and tried it, it failed with the error
"/usr2/src/linux/tools/system: No such file or directory"
Well, I tried to find where in the source to change usr2 to usr, failed
and created a symlink from /usr2 to /usr. Then running ps -U gave

                symbol '_low_memory' not found
                trying to read invalid address

Did I make a mistake somewhere or is there an easy (or difficult) fix
that needs to be made? Thanks,

Bill
