I guess the subject about sums it up.

I am trying to help a friend install Linux on his new 486. He was told he
was getting an Adaptec board, but it showed up with a DTC instead. Is
there any way to get this thing to work, or should he send it back and
demand an Adaptec?

Any comments would be appreciated.
