Yes, there are also OLD binaries .. because I personally
do not use those ;-) and nobody has ftp put newer ones
to incoming ;-)

No, nic.funet.fi ftp area is not nice .. and I'm building
up a better area at Linux/testing/arlify tree. Btw. there's
newer gmake too ..
I do like that every package has some quick & fast way to
know what's in it ... and a longer README too. I like that
is package has name 'package' the readme file is 'package.README'
or 'package.readme' .. and the real name contains version
number like 'package-0.1.tar.Z' .. etc. etc. but you can't
always win ;-(
