yeap.....those nasty control-m characters got all in their somehow.
maybe dos ftp or mtools did it.
Should we put a warning in the FAQ about getting text files by FTP???
BTW, gcc 2.2.2d compiled nicely after I deleted all those ^M's....by hand. :)
