This was happening to me after using Kermit-5A to login to another
UNI*X host - after coming back, the virtual terminal was in this stat -
setterm -reset/initialize didn't work. I got the termcap from 0.96 and
this fixed my "extra" spaces problem - I haven't had a chance to see if
it would fix this other.
