I saw this also. The way I got around it was to get the older version of GCC
and look for the libc.2.2.2 files in the tar files. (tar -ztf *.tar.Z |
grep libc.2.2.2 ) and just untared that one file. The libc.2.2.2 file
is there as
is but the libm.2.2.2 file should actually be a link to libhard.2.2.2
or
libsoft.2.2.2 depending on weather you have a math co-processor or not.

As I said... this is how I got it to work and I am sure this is not the correct
way to make it work. But I needed X over the weekend and had to make due with
what I have available. Does anyone know the correct fix?
