It does...(Mine did) and still didn't like the loopback interface...
I had to change IP_TCP to 0 (thanks to someone's initloopback.c code they
sent which gave me the clue)

now I can telnet to loopback and it works fine,
tftp would probably work if i worked out how to use it (not much point on a
loopback, anyway :( )
but talk still says "Network unreachable" !!!
