I've been having this problem too, ever since I upgraded from 0.96c to
0.98. I'm running an older Gateway 2000 386/20DX with the GENE motherboard,
an 80387, an ATI VGAWonder, an early Thomson UltraScan monitor, and a
Quantum 240MB IDE hard drive.
