Subject: XFree86 complains about TCP. Now what?
Date: 28 Oct 1992 14:29:41 GMT

Hello *,

When starting XFree86 1.1 I get the message:
        Creating TCP Socket: invalid argument
Then the graphics screen comes up, and dies immediately, leaving
the normal exit-messages on the screen (and the above TCP message).
I had the previous X running fine, and it is the same Xconfig (adapted
according to Xconfig.sample) I use now.

For XFree86 I had to install the jump table stuff 4.1, as X explicitly
complained about that, and after that installation I got the above
message about TCP instead.

Question: What is wrong?
Is my Linux version wrong (0.98.3)? Is the jump stuff installed wrongly?
Have I missed a file or so?

Met vriendelijke groeten, Wim `Blue Baron' van Dorst
