I use minicom with rzsz all the time to do downloads of any size.
Do you have the RZSZLINE environment variable set? It is mentioned somehwere
in the rzsz README.
Also, make sure that your sending site doesn't try to send with a window size
too large. On the remote site here I have to do a sz -w 1024 for my 2400
baud modem.
