somehow I trashed my root partition after doing some animation
conversions using ImageMagick.

Perhaps due to the two 16MB swapfiles I was using in /tmp
in addition to my 8MB RAM and 8MB swap partition????

BTW, what is the SAFE way to delete a swap file????
