 as u remark, the manpages are in DVi format so having them in /usr/TeX/man
seems reasonable to me.
 as to the binaries in /usr/TeX/bin, just move them to whereever you want!
i dont see that it's an issue at all. if i'd had them install into /usr/bin,
they might have overwritten someone else's binaries which wouldnt be very
friendly.
  personally, i like having separate dirs for related groups of binaries(ie
bin, usrbin, X, TeX, ingres) but the only real issue is where misc support
files go; the binaries can be put anywhere.
