Subject: Mouse & Modem conflict in X (0.98)

Dear Linuxers,

I have a strange problem, when I try to access my modem (on COM2,
/dev/ttys1 irq4) within an Xwindow, via kermit, my serial mouse
(on COM1 /dev/ttys0, irq3) freezes. As soon as I terminate the
modem connection it comes back.

I tried playing with the setserial program to change the IRQ's
of both mouse & modem, but I just made things worse (lost mouse
altogether, etc)

I'm running H.Lu's distribution, 0.98, recompiled for a 486
with 8MB memory.

Any suggestions appreciated. If via Email, please use address below,
as I'm posting this from a friend's account.

Linux : I love it!!!
