Subject: ANNOUNCE: xsysinfo, show kernel params in X
Date: Tue, 27 Oct 1992 11:12:32 GMT

Hello Linuxers,

Good news for everybody, who, like me, always want to know what's going
on inside the kernel. I wrote a small X program called `xsysinfo', which
periodically displays some of the kernel parameters in a graphical form.

It is a bit like a mix of top, free and xload with the difference that the
values are shown in form of a horizontal bar. The displayed values
are: CPU load, CPU idle, Memory size, Cache size and Swap size.

I have uploaded it to tsx-11 to /incoming. The archive name is

xsysinfo-1.0.tar.Z

It requires Linux 0.98 (or later), a working ps (0.97.6 or later), the
4.1 jump libs and XFree1.1.

Gabor
