Subject: Problems setting up X

Okay, I've got SLS 0.98p1 up and running. Patting myself
on the back a little prematuraly I decided to go the whole
        hog and install X.

Using the neat SLS 'menu', I installed the latest (from tsx-11)
version of X (all 7 disks). Next refering to the FAQ I noted
that one starts X with the rather intuative command 'startx'..

Upon which a screen full of error messages pop up, highlights
are the first line (can't create the tcp socket), and near
the bottom "no screens found". It gives up and dumps me back
        at the linux prompt.

I have Xconfig and .xinitrc in my home directory, what have
I done wrong? I checked the path includes /usr/bin/X11, that
I have an xterm entry in my termcap file.

Also, has anyone got a genius (3 button) mouse to work
with Linux? It doesn't register at startup (and I don't
think X is going to work too well without a mouse :-)

Bill.
