I know there are lots of people who do all sorts of retro stuff for fun (me
included... I only got rid of my last CP/M box last year), but isn't this a bit
like buying a car and using it to tow your carriage?

Seriously, this is probably the weakest reason I've ever heard of for opposing
a split.
