Most ET4000 based SVGA cards with 1MB of video memory will work with XFree86
in 1024x768 in 256 colour mode. One card to avoid is the Diamond
Speedstar 24.
If you want better performance you may want to consider the S3 based
cards support by Amancio Hasty's S3 server.

Get a copy of David Wexelblat's modeDB.txt file (it is on export.lcs.mit.edu
in /contrib). It has Xconfig entries tabulated for many card/monitor
combinations.
