Subject: /bin/ls COLOUR?

        Hi folks...

I tried to install 0.98.1 a few days ago. After booting from
the 0.98.1 boot disc and inserting the 0.97.? root disk, the
"ls" command didn't work properly any more, didn't display all
of the contents of a directory.

Yesterday I tried it on another machine, which has got a VGA
colour monitor and discovered thet the "ls" *does* work, but
displays filenames in different colours, like *devices* in
reverse, *executables* in green and the like... !!! My own is
mono, and somehow it wasn't able to display *anything* that
        was in colour...

Is there a way to convince "ls" to behave like any other ls,
i.e., print everything it wants to print using the colour *I*
        choose?

        Any help is appreciated...

        ...Wolfram
