If you have one of the latest (new) super-duper mouse from Logitech, i.e.
either TrackMan or MouseMan (that's the one for left- or right-handed people),
use the microsoft" setting instead of your "logitech" entry in Xconfig.
This must help getting the mouse to work.
Although, you might loose the middle-button :-(
You could, however, try it with "emulate third button" (or so) setting to get
it back. I did not try this. I only know, that I would try to use it, anyway.
